Chael Sonnen commented at UFC 132 this past weekend, stated his was an interest in fighting the former LHW Champ Lyoto Machida, and was also pop smack on his Twitter account as well. Lyoto apparently caught wind of the former #1 middleweight contender's comments and expressed interest stating:
"I think that’s great, I’m excited to do that." "He’s coming back now, wants to fight, and I really think it’s a good fight for me. If Sonnen really wants this fight, I’ll sign it immediately, no problem at all."
Lyoto Machida is coming off and big win over MMA legend Randy Couture at UFC 129 , where his deliver a Karate Kid like crane kick ending the legends career on a real sour note. Awesome kick Machida, but can you land it on the younger, stronger, version of Randy , Chael Sonnen?
This has all the making of being an excellent fight. UFC 136, which takes place on October 8th in Houston Texas, is starting to like better and better.
