Diego Sanchez vs. Matt Hughes set for UFC 135 on Sept 24 in Denver, Colorado

Diego Sanchez is set to face Former Champ Matt Hughes at UFC 135. I think this one could go either way, being that both fighter seem to be on declines in there careers. Matt Hughes just has not been the same since losing to BJ Penn in there 3rd match-up, and Ironically neither has Diego Sanchez. Seem B.J. has this effect on fighters. (except for Frankie & GSP of course) but, from KenFlo to the Muscle Shark there is some kind change in fighter careers after facing B.J.. What ever it is let's hope Jon Fitch hasn't caught it. (LOL).


"Diego Sanchez has confirmed his appearance on the upcoming UFC 135 card set for Denver, Colo on Sept 24 where he will face UFC legend Matt Hughes.

While the UFC has yet to officially announce UFC 135 for Sept 24, the card now apparently has it’s first fight confirmed.

Diego Sanchez took to Twitter on Wednesday and announced that he would be fighting on the card.

“Fighting in Denver Sept 24,” Sanchez wrote. “Mark your calendars.”

Sanchez will face former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes in a bout expected for the main card on the September show.

The card is currently rumored to take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.

This will be the first visit for the UFC to Colorado since UFC on Versus 1 took place in Broomfield, Colo. in March 2010 "
